JOHN THOMAS, PRESIDENT & CEO
John Thomas is the founder and President of Thomas Partners Strategies, a full service media, strategy and crisis communications firm. He is actively involved in shaping the political landscape across the nation and specializes in strategy consulting and television creation for political campaigns, corporations, ballot measures, non-profits and universities. As a political ad man Thomas has created some of the most cutting edge, creative and compelling ads of the last cycle causing the LA Times to call him, “Billy the Kid of Political Battles.” John is also a frequent political commentator and author in the media ranging from local and national radio appearances to cable news stations like CNN, FOX 11, PBS, and numerous national outlets like Daily Caller, Politico, RollCall, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Campaigns and Elections Magazine and others. Thomas is passionate about civic involvement volunteering his time as a leader for SMU’s Los Angeles alumni, serving on the boards of Pepperdine’s School of Public Policy and CalWatchdog (California’s leading political investigative journalism outlet). Thomas earned his Bacherlors degree in Advertising from Southern Methodist University and his Master in Public Policy from Pepperdine’s School of Public Policy.
Jennilee Brown, Political Consultant and Vice President of Operations
Jennilee manages TPS’ political and corporate clients ensuring they receive hands on attention 24/7. She also provides TPS’ clients with media and debate preparation, talking points, vendor management, policy documents, research and whatever else is necessary to ensure the client is successful. When it comes to directly overseeing operations of a campaign she has a distinct ability to provide TPS’s clients with winning results while on a shoe-string budget. She understands what it takes to successfully connect paid and earned communications to drive a winning strategy. Jennilee is also at home creating brand policy, amending current policy, as well as building the necessary coalitions required to make those a reality.
Kelly O’Toole, Vice President of Creative Development
Kelly O'Toole has over twelve years of experience in branding, print design, interactive technologies, usability, and user interface designs. Her expertise and passion for her work fuels TPS's strength in innovative design solutions. TPS views design and digital media as a collaborative process of discovery that takes patience, experience, and communication. Kelly works to ensure that TPS’s clients are involved in the process every step of the way, incorporating feedback at each stage until the design is finalized and implemented.
Prior to working at TPS, Kelly created business solutions for a multitude of companies and organizations, helping to craft various messages. Acclaimed for her creativity, expertise and technical proficiency Kelly’s experience in multi-faceted projects across a number of different industries has helped clients successfully reach their goals. Kelly holds a B.A. in English from Colby College and a M.S. in Advertising from the University of Boston.
